Find the work that fits you.

Vocational testing brings together your skills, interests and circumstances to identify suitable work options and career pathways — with a clear report to guide your next step.

When it helps

Who a vocational assessment helps.

A vocational assessment identifies transferable skills, interests, strengths and barriers to employment — useful at any career crossroads.

  • You are an injured worker planning a safe return to suitable work.
  • You are a student unsure whether to head to work, university or TAFE.
  • You are considering a career change and want an objective starting point.
  • You are planning your next move, a promotion or an advanced placement.
  • You want to understand your transferable skills and where they fit the current job market.

Every assessment starts with a clear question. We agree on what you want to learn before we begin, and make sure the report answers it.

What's involved

Skills, interests and real-world options.

Validated vocational tools and a structured review, interpreted by a qualified psychologist and translated into practical options.

Interests & preferences

Career-interest measures such as the Jackson Vocational Interest Survey and the Self-Directed Search.

Transferable skills

A structured analysis of your skills, experience and how they transfer to new roles.

Labour-market fit

A review of current employment options, so recommendations are realistic and relevant.

Report & direction

A detailed report explaining your results, with optional vocational counselling to plan your next step.

Vocational assessments are conducted by a qualified psychologist. Every assessment includes a feedback session where we explain the findings in plain language.

  • No Medicare rebate: vocational testing sits outside Medicare, so a Mental Health Care Plan does not apply.
  • Insurers & schemes: WorkCover, CTP and other insurers often fund vocational assessment as part of a return-to-work plan.
  • NDIS & private funding: some NDIS plans and employers fund testing when it supports a plan or goal.
