Accessibility Statement
Access to psychological care includes access to information about it. Mind Health is committed to making this website — and the practice behind it — usable by as many people as possible, whatever technology you use and however you navigate.
This statement explains the standard we work to, what we’ve built in so far, where the limits are, and how to tell us when something isn’t working for you. That last part matters most: if any part of this site gets in your way, we want to hear about it and fix it.
1. The standard we work to
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA across this website. Accessibility isn’t a box we ticked once — new pages and features are checked against this standard as they’re built, and existing pages are reviewed as the site evolves.
2. What we’ve built in
Measures currently in place across the site include:
- Semantic structure — meaningful headings, landmarks and lists, so screen readers can move through pages the way sighted visitors scan them.
- Keyboard navigation — the site can be used without a mouse, including menus, forms and expandable sections, with a “skip to content” link on every page.
- Text alternatives — meaningful images carry descriptive alt text; decorative flourishes are hidden from assistive technology.
- Colour contrast — text and interface colours are chosen against WCAG AA contrast ratios, and colour is never the only way information is conveyed.
- Reduced motion — animations and parallax effects respect your device’s “reduce motion” setting.
- Readable by design — generous type sizes, clear link styling, and layouts that reflow on any screen size or zoom level.
3. Known limitations
Some parts of the experience rely on third-party platforms — such as online booking and secure video for telehealth — whose accessibility we don’t fully control. We choose these providers with accessibility in mind, and if any of them presents a barrier we’ll always offer another way, such as booking by phone. Some older downloadable documents may not yet meet the standard of the site itself; we’re progressively remediating these, and we’ll happily provide any document in an alternative format on request.
4. Visiting the practice
Our rooms are at Suite 1, Level 3, 20 Wentworth Street, Parramatta. Everyone’s access needs are different, so rather than make general claims, we’d ask you to contact us before your first visit and tell us what would make attending easier — mobility access, sensory considerations, a support person, an interpreter, or anything else. We’ll tell you honestly what we can arrange, and work with you on the rest.
5. Telehealth as an access option
If travelling to Parramatta is a barrier — for mobility, energy, distance, sensory or any other reason — telehealth sessions offer the same clinicians and the same care by secure video, from wherever suits you. Many of our clients use telehealth precisely because it removes access barriers, and you can switch between online and in-person at any time.
6. Tell us what isn’t working
Feedback is how this statement stays honest. If you find a page you can’t use, content you can’t read, or anything else that shuts you out — of the website or the practice — please tell us. We’ll acknowledge your feedback promptly, and where there’s a barrier we can remove, we will.
If any part of this site doesn’t work for you, that’s something we want to fix — not something you should have to work around.
If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can raise a complaint with the Australian Human Rights Commission at humanrights.gov.au.
7. About this statement
This statement was prepared in July 2026 and is reviewed as the website changes. It covers this website and the accessibility of our services generally; for how we handle your information, see our Privacy Policy.
Call 1300 084 200, email info@mindhealth.com.au, or use our contact form. If the contact form itself is the barrier, a phone call is always enough.
Care that meets you where you are.
In person in Parramatta or by telehealth anywhere in Australia — tell us what access looks like for you and we’ll make it work. No referral needed to begin.
