Does this sound like you?

Adult ADHD is more than distraction.

It often goes unnoticed for decades, mistaken for laziness or anxiety. You don't need to tick every box — or any box — to seek answers.

  • You start a dozen things and finish few — time slips away unnoticed.
  • Deadlines, admin and "boring" tasks feel almost physically impossible to start.
  • Your mind is constantly busy — racing thoughts, jumping from one thing to the next.
  • You've worked twice as hard to keep up, and still feel like you're falling behind.
  • Emotions hit hard and fast — rejection, frustration and overwhelm flood in.
  • You lose keys, forget appointments, and live in a low hum of "I should have…".
  • You hyperfocus on what interests you, then can't shift attention when you need to.
  • You've been called "smart but scattered" your whole life, and never known why.

A diagnosis isn't a label — it's an explanation, and often a relief. Whatever the outcome, you'll leave with a clearer understanding of your mind and what helps it thrive.

What we assess

A thorough, whole-picture assessment.

We don't just hand you a score. A Mind Health assessment looks at your history, your strengths, and how your mind works day to day — then translates it into something useful.

ADHD

Validated diagnostic interviews and rating scales for adult ADHD — inattention, hyperactivity and impulsivity, across your whole history.

Autism

Comprehensive autism assessment using gold-standard tools, with a strengths-based lens and no assumptions.

Cognitive & learning

Memory, attention and processing testing to understand learning profiles, dyslexia, and cognitive strengths.

A written report

A clear, practical report you actually own — with recommendations for work, study, treatment and support.

Assessments are conducted by our clinical neuropsychologist and senior clinicians. Every assessment includes a feedback session where we walk you through the findings in plain language.

The process

Your assessment, step by step.

Clear and structured from start to finish — you'll always know what's next.

1

Intake & history

We start with your story — developmental history, school and work, and what prompted you to seek answers. Questionnaires are sent ahead of time.

Step one
2

Testing sessions

Structured interviews and standardised tests, conducted over one or more sessions. It's engaging, not an exam — there are no trick questions.

Step two
3

Report & feedback

You receive a comprehensive written report and a feedback session that explains what it all means — and exactly what to do next.

Step three
Fees & funding

Know your costs before you start.

Assessments are quoted in full and in writing before you commit. Some Medicare and NDIS rebates may apply depending on your situation — we'll talk you through it.

See the full fee schedule
  • Medicare: rebates on up to 10 sessions a year with a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP.
  • NDIS, DVA, Workers Comp & CTP: usually no out-of-pocket cost when approved.
  • Private health: claim through your extras cover, with no referral needed.
Common questions

Things people ask before booking.

Do I need a referral for an ADHD assessment?
You can book an assessment directly — no referral needed. Assessments aren't Medicare-rebatable, but you'll get a clear written quote before you commit.
How long does an ADHD assessment take?
Usually two to four appointments over a few weeks — intake, testing and a feedback session where we walk through the findings in plain language. You'll get a clear timeline and a written quote before you start.
Is telehealth as good as coming in?
Many assessment components can be completed via telehealth, with some conducted in person depending on the tools used. Some people prefer the room, some prefer their own couch — you can switch between the two at any time.
What happens if I'm diagnosed?
You leave with more than a label: a comprehensive report with practical recommendations for work, study and treatment — and, if you choose, a referral pathway for medication review or ongoing support.
Who can see my assessment results?
Your report is yours. We don't release it to an employer, school or GP without your written consent, apart from narrow legal exceptions your psychologist explains up front.
