Clear answers, in writing.

From ADHD and autism to memory, IQ and medico-legal reports — comprehensive psychological assessments with a plain-language feedback session and a report you actually own.

Who assessments help

When you need more than a conversation.

Sometimes the next step depends on knowing exactly what's going on — for you, your GP, a school, an employer, or a court.

  • You've wondered about ADHD or autism for years and want a definitive answer.
  • A parent, teacher or GP has suggested testing for your child's learning or attention.
  • Memory or thinking has changed — after an injury, an illness, or gradually.
  • A lawyer, insurer or employer needs a formal psychological report.
  • Treatment isn't landing, and a clearer diagnostic picture would change the plan.
  • You're making a big study or career decision and want objective data to guide it.

A report isn't a label — it's an explanation, and a tool. Whatever the finding, you'll leave knowing what it means and what to do next.

What we assess

Every kind of clarity.

Every assessment is quoted in writing before you commit, and every one ends the same way: a comprehensive report and a feedback session that explains it in plain language.

Not sure which assessment fits? Call us on 1300 084 200 and describe what's going on — we'll tell you plainly what's needed, and what isn't.

The process

Your assessment, step by step.

Clear and structured from start to finish — you'll always know what's next.

1

Intake & history

We start with your story — developmental history, school and work, and what prompted you to seek answers. Questionnaires are sent ahead of time.

Step one
2

Testing sessions

Structured interviews and standardised tests, conducted over one or more sessions. It's engaging, not an exam — there are no trick questions.

Step two
3

Report & feedback

You receive a comprehensive written report and a feedback session that explains what it all means — and exactly what to do next.

Step three
Fees & funding

Know your costs before you start.

Assessments are quoted in full and in writing before you commit. Some Medicare and NDIS rebates may apply depending on your situation — we'll talk you through it.

See the full fee schedule
  • Medicare: rebates on up to 10 sessions a year with a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP.
  • NDIS, DVA, Workers Comp & CTP: usually no out-of-pocket cost when approved.
  • Private health: claim through your extras cover, with no referral needed.
Common questions

Things people ask before booking.

Do I need a referral for an assessment?
You can book most assessments directly — no referral needed. Assessments generally aren't Medicare-rebatable, but a GP or specialist referral can help with funding and follow-up, and we'll always give you a written quote before you commit.
How long does an assessment take?
Most assessments run across two to four appointments — intake, testing and feedback — over two to four weeks. Medico-legal and neuropsychological assessments can take longer; you'll get a clear timeline with your written quote.
Is telehealth as good as coming in?
Many assessment components can be completed via telehealth, with some conducted in person depending on the tools used. Some people prefer the room, some prefer their own couch — you can switch between the two at any time.
Who can use the report?
The report is yours. Depending on the assessment, it can support NDIS applications, school and university adjustments, workplace accommodations, treatment planning with your GP or psychiatrist, and legal or insurance matters.
Is the assessment itself confidential?
Yes. Everything you discuss during the assessment stays private between you and your psychologist, with only narrow legal exceptions (such as risk of serious harm) that we explain plainly before we begin.
