Therapy that meets you where you are.

One-on-one sessions with a psychologist who listens without judgement — practical, evidence-based support for whatever you're carrying, in Parramatta or online.

Sound familiar?

You don't have to wait for a crisis.

Most people come in carrying something they've managed alone for a long time. You don't need a diagnosis or a reason that sounds "serious enough" — wanting things to feel different is enough.

  • Worry or low mood that follows you through the day.
  • You're coping on the outside but running on empty.
  • The same patterns keep repeating, and you're not sure why.
  • Something happened, and it still intrudes on now.
  • A big change — loss, work, health — has knocked you sideways.
  • Sleep, focus or motivation aren't what they used to be.
  • You'd like to understand yourself better, not just cope.
  • You've tried before — and want it to actually stick this time.

Whatever brings you in, the first session is about understanding you — not slotting you into a program. From there, we build a plan that fits your life.

How therapy works

Evidence-based, and tailored to you.

There's no one-size-fits-all. Your psychologist draws on the approaches with the strongest evidence for what you're working through — and you always know what the plan is.

CBT & ACT

Practical tools to shift unhelpful thinking, act on what matters to you, and build skills you can use between sessions.

EMDR & trauma work

Gentle, structured approaches for processing difficult experiences at a pace that always stays within your control.

Schema & deeper work

When patterns run long and deep, we look at where they started — and how to loosen their grip on the present.

Mindfulness & skills

Grounding, emotion-regulation and mindfulness skills to steady the day-to-day while the deeper work unfolds.

Most people get a clear sense of the direction within the first few sessions. Progress is reviewed against goals you set — and everything discussed stays in the room.

What to expect

Your first weeks, step by step.

No surprises, no pressure. Here's how the early sessions usually unfold.

1

You get heard

The first session is about your story — what's been happening, what you've tried, and what you'd like to be different. No pressure, no verdicts.

2

A plan that fits

Together you'll set a couple of clear goals and agree on the approach. You'll start practising small changes between sessions early on.

Sessions two to four
3

Real, lasting change

Progress is checked against your goals. Some people come for a handful of sessions, others longer — the pace and the destination stay yours.

Common questions

Things people ask before booking.

Do I need a referral to start?
No — you can book directly with us any time. A referral and Mental Health Care Plan from your GP is only needed if you'd like to claim Medicare rebates.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on what you're working through. Some people come for a handful of sessions on a specific issue; others prefer ongoing support. You're never locked in — we review together as we go.
What happens in the first session?
Mostly listening. Your psychologist will ask about what's been happening and what you'd like to change, answer your questions, and — if it feels right — agree on a simple plan. There's no pressure to share more than you're ready to.
Is what I say confidential?
Yes. What you discuss stays private, with only the narrow legal exceptions your psychologist will explain up front (such as a serious risk to safety). Your records are kept secure.
Can I have sessions online?
Yes — secure telehealth video sessions are available Australia-wide, and you can switch between in-person in Parramatta and online at any time.
