About Robert

Robert Ruane is a Clinical Psychologist with a decade of experience working with adults, young people and men's mental health across community, hospital and private practice settings.

Robert has a special interest in men's wellbeing — helping men engage with therapy in a way that feels natural, strengths-based and free from stigma. He draws on sport and performance psychology frameworks to connect with clients who may be new to mental health support.

He uses an integrative approach including CBT, ACT and Motivational Interviewing, always starting from a place of respect and genuine curiosity about each person's story.

Robert works with a wide range of presentations including depression, anxiety, anger, relationship difficulties and adjustment to major life changes such as fatherhood, career transitions and health challenges.
